SMS backbone support for various Events, College Festivals and Conferences

Projects Completed in the past include:

SMS based event management for the annual cultural and technical fests of IEM College and St. Xaviers Collegiate School, Kolkata. This included full support for automated registration, event information updates, annoucements, schedules on SMS. This also included a Stock Market simulation game with real time stock ticker all accessible through SMS
Traffic information search during Durga Puja implemented for Kolkata Police in association with Vodafone, Airtel and BSNL. The user just sends the location (s)he is goind to and we gave real time traffic updates. Eg., on sending "TRA Perk St" (Yes, we handled spelling mistakes and short forms gracefully), we would give the traffic status at "Park Street" in Kolkata, and the nearest diversion that has been suggested by the police. This was publicised in the K|P press conference before Durga Puja and through 1 lac Puja Guides that were circulated
SMS Information searvices for International PAN IIT Confluence conducted at Chennai in December '08 - We enabled people to search for their batchmates through SMS (including handling spelling errors), map queries for IIT Campus, Schedule and Schedule information and Speaker Bios. This was implemented along with the technical team from TCS and Microtesense India. This also included a mechanism to disseminate real time event updates to interested alumni
